Abstract

"CODIFICAçãO à PROVA DE PERDA PROGNóSTICA DE IMAGENS E VìDEO". Codificação à prova de perda prognóstica proporciona compressão de imagem à prova de perda efetiva de ambos os conteúdos fotográfico e gráfico em meios de imagem e vídeo. A codificação à prova de perda prognóstica pode operar em uma base de macrobloco, para compatibilidade com os codecs de imagem e vídeo existentes. A codificação à prova de perda prognóstica seleciona e aplica um dos modos de modulação de código de pulso diferencial (DPCM) disponíveis múltiplos em macroblocos individuais, para produzir resíduos DPCM tendo uma distribuição mais próxima da ótima para codificação por entropia RLGR Golomb - Rice de densidade dupla. Isso permite decoclificação por entropia à prova de perda efetiva, a despeito das diferentes características dos conteúdos de imagens fotográficas e gráficas.
