Abstract

"COMPOSIçõES DE ELASTÈMERO DE FLUOROCARBONO CURADAS COM PERóXIDO". Um processo envolve adicionar uma batelada mestre de peróxido em uma mistura derretida de um elastómero de fluorocarbono e um material termoplástico. A batelada mestre de peróxido contém mais do que ou igual a 5% em peso percentual de peróxido orgânico, adicionalmente contém um elastómero de fluorocarbono, e tipicamente também contém um reticulador contendo pelo menos dois locais de insaturação olefínica. O elastómero de fluorocarbono na mistura derretida e na batelada mestre de peróxido pode ser o mesmo ou diferente. Depois que a batelada mestre de peróxido é adicionada na mistura derretida, a combinação é misturada em uma temperatura e por um tempo suficientes para efetuar a cura dos elastómeros de fluorocarbono. Pelo uso de uma batelada mestre, uma dispersão mais rápida e mais uniforme do curativo de peróxido é possível devido à pré-dispersão do peróxido na fase do elastómero, o que leva a artigos formados tendo propriedades mecânicas melhoradas.
