Abstract

MéTODO PARA REMOçãO DE BORO A PARTIR DE SILìCIO. A presente invenção refere-se a um método para a remoção de boro a partir de silício metálico, de maneira barata e extremamente eficiente, por um método simples, especificamente, por aquecimento de silício metálico, contendo boro como uma impureza, a seu ponto de fusão para 2.200<198>C, para colocá-lo em um estado fundido, então, adição de um sólido compreendendo principalmente dióxido de silício e de um sólido compreendendo principalmente um ou ambos de um carbonato de um metal alcalino ou um hidrato de um carbonato de um metal alcalino, ao silício fundido, de modo a formar uma escória e remover o boro no silício.
