Abstract

"EMBALAGEM DE PAPELãO RESISTENTE à MANIPULAçãO DE CRIANçAS". A presente invenção refere-se a uma embalagem de papelão resistente à manipulação de crianças, para um produto farmacêutico ou similarmente perigoso. A embalagem compreende uma luva externa (2), uma inserção (3) que pode ser extraída de modo deslizante da luva, a inserção sendo portadora do produto embalado, e um mecanismo de travamento (7, 9) entre a luva e a inserção. De acordo com a invenção, pelo menos a luva externa (2) é feita de papelão reforçado com um polímero revestido por extrusão para aumentar sua resistência ao rasgamento. O papelão pode apresentar uma camada de reforço de um polímero rígido, tal como, poliéster, preferencialmente, em ambos os lados do papelão. Essa camada de reforço pode também ser uma camada de vedação térmica externa conjuntamente extrudada de poliolefina. As bordas cortantes podem ser protegidas com uma proteção de polímero contra a separação em lâminas do papelão. The present invention relates to a child resistant carton for a pharmaceutical or similarly hazardous product. The package comprises an outer sleeve (2), an insert (3) which can be slidably extracted from the sleeve, the insert carrying the packaged product, and a locking mechanism (7, 9) between the sleeve and the insert. According to the invention, at least the outer sleeve (2) is made of cardboard reinforced with an extrusion coated polymer to increase its tear strength. The cardboard may have a reinforcing layer of a rigid polymer such as polyester, preferably on both sides of the cardboard. Such a reinforcing layer may also be a jointly extruded polyolefin outer heat seal layer. The sharp edges can be protected with a polymer protection against the separation in sheets of cardboard. The same extrusion coated cardboard can also be used for the inner sleeve.
