Abstract

<B>"CRONOMETRANDO A TRANSFERêNCIA (HANDOVER)"<D>. A invenção descreve um sistema de rádio e um método de cronometrar uma transferência de interfreq³ência em um sistema de rádio celular WCDMA, onde a transmissão de dados entre o equipamento terminal e a estação base emprega várias faixas de freq³ência alternativa adjacente (F1 - F3, F4 - F6), a qual compreende várias áreas de cobertura de diferentes estações base (EBT1, EBT2) as quais sobrepõem ao menos parcialmente, às estações base que utilizam os grupos de faixas de freq³ência (400, 402) que diferem uma da outra e que estão situadas próxima uma a outra na gama de freq³ência, sendo que no sistema o equipamento terminal (EM11) comunica com a primeira estação base (EBT1) na primeira faixa de freq³ência (F3) e mede a intensidade do primeiro sinal que tem recebido da estação base, e onde o equipamento terminal mede a intensidade do segundo sinal transmitido pela segunda estação base (EBT2) na segunda, faixa de freq³ência adjacente (F4). De forma a executar uma transferência em um momento certo, o equipamento terminal (EM11) compara os resultados medidos do primeiro e do segundo sinal, e se o segundo sinal exceder o primeiro sinal por um valor limiar determinado, o equipamento terminal sinaliza uma solicitação de transferência para a primeira estação base (EBT1).
