Processo para fabricar ferrodessulfurado, diretamente reduzido em um forno de prateleiras, oqual apresenta duas zonas sobrepostas providas respectivamentede várias prateleiras, em que em uma primeira zona do forno ominério de ferro reage com um redutor a uma temperatura entre800<198> C e 1100<198> C, formando ferro metálico e os gasessão dessulfurados por meio de agentes de dessulfuração, em queo ferro diretamente reduzido é despejado do forno e os gasesdessulfurados são conduzidos para a segunda zona e lápré-aquecem o minério de ferro a uma temperatura que varia de600<198> C a 800<198> C.
