Abstract
"MéTODO DE FABRICAçãO DE SERPENTINAS PARA PESQUISA SìSMICA MARINHA" Uma serpentina para pesquisa sísmica marinha (10) compreende um núcleo substancialmente sólido (24) tendo muitos dos componentes principais da serpentina, especificamente hidrofones (30) módulos eletrónicos (34) para digitalizar os sinais de saída dos hidrofones , feixes principais de fibra óptica e condutor elétrico (36) e membro resistente de Kevlar (32) embutido no mesmo. O núcleo (24) também contém um grande número de elementos de flutuação de espuma (38). Um revestimento externo (26) envolve o núcleo (24) definindo uma folga anular (28) em torno do núcleo, sendo esta folga anular preenchida com espuma de poliuretano de célula aberta saturada de querosene. As cápsulas (40) contendo hidrofones (30) se comunicam com a folga anular (28) em torno do núcleo (24), de modo que o querosene possa entrar nas cápsulas (40), cada uma das quais contendo um invólucro de espuma de poliuretano de célula aberta (42) para almofadar os hidrofones (30).
