Abstract

"INTERFACE DE PROGRAMAçãO DE APLICAçãO PARA HABILITAR O ACESSO DE INFORMAçõES DE SISTEMA DE UM FORMATO ABSTRATO POR UM RECEPTOR DE TELEVISãO DIGITAL" Uma interface de programação de aplicação (API) permite que aplicações (por exemplo, códigos applets) de um terminal de televisão digital recuperem as Informações de Sistema (SI) de um fluxo de transporte digital sem considerar o formato específico das SI. A API abstrai as porções relevantes da SI a fim de prover a mesma em um formato genérico, utilizável. O sistema é adequado para uso, por exemplo, com os formatos SI que incluem as Informações Específicas de Programa MPEG (PSI), DVB, SI, o Protocolo de Programa AISC e de Informações de Sistema (PSIP), SI a cabo, como, por exemplo, o Padrão de Vídeo Digital 234, e as SI privadas. Em uma modalidade opcional, a emissão assíncrona das SI é provida para as SI não imediatamente disponíveis na memória do terminal. Além disso, a API pode ainda abstrair as SI de modo a torná-las independentes do formato de fluxo de transporte específico (por exemplo, MPEG-2). Além disso, a recuperação incremental dos dados de SI é provida ao permitir uma aplicação de modo a se obter um subconjunto pequeno das SI disponíveis no terminal, analisar as mesmas, e recuperar as SI adicionais se necessário com base na análise.
