Patente de Invenção: <B>''MEIOS E PROCESSOS PARA A MODULAçãO DAS CARACTERìSTICAS DOS ESTÈMATOS EM PLANTAS"<D>. é descrito o uso de moléculas de ácido nucléico que codificam serina proteases semelhantes à subtilisina e a modulação dos genes correspondentes para a produção de plantas transgênicas com características de estómatos alteradas. São fornecidas de moléculas de DNA recombinante que compreendem tais moléculas de ácido nucléico e complementos das mesmas; em que a(s) dita(s) molécula(s) de ácido nucléico é(são) ligada(s) de forma operacional a elementos regulatórios permitindo a expressão da(s) molécula(s) de ácido nucléico nas plantas. São ainda fornecidos vetores que compreendem as ditas moléculas de DNA recombinante assim como células de plantas, tecidos de plantas e plantas transformados com estas.
