Abstract
"COMPOSIçõES E MéTODOS PARA REMOçãO DE ALIMENTO". é descrita uma composição de remoção de alimento que inclui pelo menos 70% em peso de um hidrolisado de amido de D.E. baixo. Devido às características de alta solubilidade e digestibilidade da composição, a composição pode ser provida ao animal até 1-2 horas antes do abate. A composição resulta em (1) melhoria do peso vivo no abate, (2) rendimento e/ou qualidade de produto aumentados, e (3) risco reduzido de contaminação da carcaça em comparação com programas convencionais de remoção total de alimento antes do abate.
