Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"REVESTIMENTO BIOLóGICO COM UM EFEITO PROTETOR E CURATIVO PARA O CONTROLE DE APODRECIMENTO PóS-COLHEITA"<D>. Novos processos e composições são providos para o biocontrole de doenças de planta pelo uso de um revestimento biológico que confere tanto um efeito protetor como curativo para o controle de apodrecimento pós-colheita. O revestimento inclui sais quitosano, um microorganismo antagonístico, e um cátion. Uma composição de sais quitosano, CaCl~ 2~ e levedura é eficaz. As atividades fungicidas combinadas dos sais quitosano e o microorganismo antagonístico tornam as composições da presente invenção superiores aos revestimentos anteriores. Quando aplicadas à superfície de um produto de planta colhido, as composições tanto evitam como curam o apodrecimento pós-colheita.
