Abstract

A invenção diz respeito a cartões de microplaquetas para utilização como servidores associados a um terminal de rede digital de transmissão de dados. A invenção caracteriza-se pelo fato de que o cartão de microplaqueta compreende um microprocessador e memórias que contêm dados e programas para interpretar os URLs provenientes do terminal da rede, traduzi-los em comandos elementares do cartão de microplaqueta e formatar a resposta para o terminal. Algumas dessas funções podem ser executadas pelo terminal ao qual o cartão está associado. A invenção aplica-se a redes que transmitem dados digitais e programas da Internet ou sistemas do tipo telefone móvel.
