A presente invenção apresenta um serviço de informação de transmissão que utiliza recursos de radiocomunicação de transmissão para fornecer informação para um usuário de estação móvel. The present invention features a broadcast information service that uses broadcast radio resources to provide information to a mobile station user. First, a series of broadcast headers can be broadcast on a broadcast resource for all mobile stations to read. These broadcast headers are then sent in a way in which a user can select more detailed information associated with one or more headers. A request for selected material is transmitted back to the system. The selected material is then sent to the user using any desired information transport mechanism.
