Abstract
<B>SISTEMA E MéTODO PARA A DETERMINAçãO DA POSIçãO RELATIVA DE LOCOMOTIVAS EM UMA COMPOSIçãO DE TREM<D> Um método e aparelho para determinar a posição de uma ou mais locomotivas (102, 104) em uma composição de trem. O receptor (108) recebe um sinal como por exemplo um sinal de referência de um sistema global que determina uma posição coordenada para aquela locomotiva. Um processador (112) determina a posição relativa para a locomotiva na composição do trem com base em sua posição coordenada determinada. Este processo é periodicamente repetido para cada locomotiva na composição de trem de modo que a configuração de locomotivas na composição do trem possa ser acompanhada ou verificada à medida que vagões (106) são acrescentados ou removidos do trem.
