Abstract

Patente de Invenção: ANTENA UNIPLANAR DE DUAS FITAS. Uma antena uniplanar de fita dupla (400) que possui uma estrutura bidimensional. A double-band uniplanar antenna (400) that has a two-dimensional structure. The antenna consists of a first and a second metallic ribbon (404, 408), each printed or engraved on a thin flat substrate (412). The first and second tapes (404, 408) are separated by a gap or space (T) and are used as conductors for a two-wire transmission line. A coplanar waveguide (416, 1520) is coupled to the double ribbon uniplanar antenna (400). The coplanar waveguide (416, 1520) is produced by printing or engraving metal on the substrate. The positive terminal (420, 1522) of the waveguide is electrically connected to the first strip. The negative terminal (424, 428) of the waveguide is electrically connected to the first and second tapes. The dual-band uniplanar antenna (400) according to the present invention provides an increase in bandwidth over typical quarter-wave or half-wavelength mesh antennas. The experimental results showed that the double-band uniplanar antenna (400) has a bandwidth of approximately 8 to 20% which is extremely desirable for cell phones and PCS.
