Abstract
''PROCESSO DE OPERAçãO DE UM SISTEMA DE SINAL DIGITAL, E, SISTEMA PARA FORNECIMENTO DE UM SINAL DE BANDA BASE DIGITAL''. Um codificador - modular para acoplar um sinal de televisão de banda base digital a um receptor de televisão digital VSB que inclui filtros, circuito de equalização e circuito de correção de erro dianteiro para corrigir degradações de sinal que estão abaixo de um lado limiar. O codificador - modulador processa o sinal de banda base para uma transmissão de baixa potência em um canal RF com características de banda passante menos do que o nominal. Um cabo coaxial ou outra ligação de comunicação de baixo ruído diretamente conecta o sinal de RF do receptor de televisão. Quaisquer erros ou degradações de sinal no sinal transmitido que estão abaixo do predeterminado limiar são corrigidos pelos filtros e circuito de equalização construídos no receptor de televisão digital VSB.'' A coaxial cable or other low-noise communication link directly connects the television receiver's RF signal. Any errors or signal degradations in the transmitted signal that are below the predetermined threshold are corrected by the filters and equalization circuit built in the VSB digital television receiver.
