Sílica precipitada hidrofóbica, tendo os seguintes parâmetros físico/químicos Perda por secagem [%] 2,0 - 10 DIN ISO 787/2; Perda por ignição [%] 2-25 DIN ISSO 3262/11; Molhabilidade por metanol [%] 20 - 80 titulado; Teor de carbono [%] 1 - 30 - é produzida misturando-se uma suspensão de sílica precipitada com uma emulsão de silano e secando-os. A sílica precipitada hidrofóbica pode ser usada na produção de antiespumantes e na produção de papel.
