Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA BRANQUEAMENTO DE POLPAS QUìMICAS DE BAIXA CONSISTêNCIA"<D>. A presente invenção refere-se a um processo para branqueamento de polpas químicas de baixa consistência compreendendo, como primeiro estágio do branqueamento, uma etapa de adição de dióxido de cloro em uma faixa de pH entre 4,5 e 5,5. O processo da presente invenção permite obter concentrações de organoclorados na polpa menores do que cerca de 30 ppm e um consumo reduzido de H~ 2~O~ 2~ nos estágios posteriores.
