The shaving cartridge comprises a conductive part of the razor blade (30) having a component engaging the conductive part (36) and an adapter unit (10) having a first side (14b) and a second side (14a). The first side (14b) of the adapter unit (10) has a plug-in component (24a & 24b) that attaches in a fixable manner with the plug-in component of the conductive part (36) with at least one of the plug-in component in the adapter (24a or 24b) and the plug-in component of the conductive part (36) being resiliently deformable, such that the plug-in component in the adapter (24a & 24b) and the plug-in component of the conductive part (36) can be attached in a non-detachable fit with each other. The second side (14a) of the adapter unit (10) has means (16a & 16b) for securely coupling the shaving cartridge (10 & 30) with the cable insert (56a & 56b).
