Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"NOVAS PROTEìNAS DERIVADAS DE REOVìRUS, áCIDOS NUCLEICOS CODIFICANDO AS MESMAS, E APLICAçõES DAS MESMAS"<D>. De acordo com a presente invenção, foram identificadas proteínas virais que são responsáveis por fusão de membrana e formação de sincício induzida por três diferentes ortoreovírus fusogênicos, isto é, reovírus avícola (ARV), vírus da Baía de Nelson (NBV), e Reovírus de Babuíno (BRV). Os genes codificando estas proteínas foram clonados e seq³enciados; a análise funcional dos mesmos indica que a expressão destas proteínas em células transfectadas resulta em fusão intercelular.
