São divulgadas composições para controlar o crescimento de microorganismos em ou sobre um produto, material, ou meio compreendendo quantidades sinergicamente eficazes de (a) dodecilmorfolina ou um sal desta e (b) dodecilamina ou um sal desta. Também são divulgados métodos para controlar o crescimento de microorganismos e evitar a deterioração causada por microorganismos com o uso das composições da presente invenção.
