Abstract
"SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO óTICA, AMPLIFICADOR DE LINHA óTICA, E, PROCESSO PARA TRANSMITIR SINAIS óTICOS". Um sistema de transmissão ótica foi projetado para otimizar o uso da faixa de emissão espectral de amplificadores de fibra dopada com terra rara. O sistema inclui uma banda larga de canais na faixa de emissão espectral de amplificadores de fibra dopada com érbio, que é dividida em duas sub-bandas, uma sub-banda baixa correspondendo à extremidade baixa da faixa e uma sub-banda alta correspondendo à extremidade alta da faixa. As duas sub-bandas são separadamente amplificadas e otimizadas, e então recombinadas sem significante competição entre as duas sub-bandas. Em adição, um filtro de equalização, tal como um filtro de Bragg especializado ou filtro interferencial, é aplicado à sub-banda baixa em vez da banda inteira de canais, assim grandemente reduzindo necessidade de equalização ou efeitos de não equalização.
