"DISPOSITIVO ELETRôNICO TENDO UMA PORTA PARA INTERFACEAR UM DISPOSITIVO EXTERNO, E, PROCESSOS DE OPERAR O MESMO E DE INTERFACEAR UMA PRIMEIRA PORTA DE UM PRIMEIRO DISPOSITIVO ELETRôNICO A UMA SEGUNDA PORTA DE UM SEGUNDO DISPOSITIVO ELETRôNICO". Um dispositivo eletrônico opera com um acessório externo, pela iniciação de uma comunicação de dados em série, através de um barramento de controle acessório. Se a comunicação de dados for estabelecida com o acessório externo, o dispositivo eletrônico opera em um primeiro modo de interface, quando um ou mais parâmetros operacionais são transferidos através do barramento. Se a comunicação de dados não for estabelecida, o dispositivo eletrônico opera em um modo de segunda interface, quando nenhum parâmetro operacional é transferido através do barramento.
