Abstract
"APARELHO DESTINADO A FACILITAR INTERAçãO MELHORADA DE VAPOR E LìQUIDO QUE PASSAM EM FLUXO DE CONTRA-CORRENTE ATRAVéS DE UMA TORRE DE PROCESSAMENTO, E, PROCESSO DE MISTURA DE UM GáS COM UM LìQUIDO DESCARREGADO A PARTIR DE UM TUBO DESCENDENTE POR SOBRE UMA BANDEJA EM UMA TORRE DE PROCESSAMENTO QUìMICO". The outlet of the down tube is formed by the lower edge of the walls generally semi-conical and the wall of the tower, with the bottom edge of the walls generally semi-conical being closer to the wall of the tower in the center of the outlet of the down tube than in the opposite end portions of the downstream outlet such that a greater amount of liquid will flow through the opposite end portions of the downstream outlet than in the center of the downstream outlet, thereby promoting a substantially uniform flow of liquid over the along the tray adjacent to the descending tube.
