Abstract

"POLIMéRICOS EM EMULSãO QUE FORNECEM RESISTêNCIA A LIMPEZA E RESISTêNCIA A FORMAçãO DE BLOCOS EM FORMULAçõES DE TINTA DE PVC SUPERIORES E INFERIORES". Trata-se de uma emulsão aquosa é feita em uma polimerização de dois estágios. No primeiro estágio, os monómeros que fornecem um polímero T~ g~ inferior são polimerizados, conquanto no segundo estágio, os monómeros que fornecem um polímero de T~ g~ superior são polimerizados. Em um ou ambos os estágios, um monómero possuindo pelo menos dois grupos carboxila ou carboxilato forma parte da mistura de monómero. O polímero resultante é especificamente útil nas composições de revestimento, onde ele provê uma boa combinação de resistência a formação de blocos e limpeza."EMULSION POLYMERICS THAT PROVIDE RESISTANCE TO CLEANING AND RESISTANCE TO BLOCK FORMATION IN TOP AND LOWER PVC PAINT FORMULATIONS". It is an aqueous emulsion made in a two-stage polymerization. In the first stage, monomers that provide a lower T ~ g ~ polymer are polymerized, whereas in the second stage, monomers that provide a higher T ~ g ~ polymer are polymerized. In one or both stages, a monomer having at least two carboxyl or carboxylate groups forms part of the monomer mixture. The resulting polymer is specifically useful in coating compositions, where it provides a good combination of blocking and cleaning resistance.
