Volante incluindo um cubo de metal fundido dotado de um corpo cilíndrico e um flange formado como parte integrante do corpo, tal cubo possuindo um furo destinado ao recebimento de uma extremidade da coluna de direção, e o cubo (1), além disso, possuindo rasgos (3, 4, 5) que se estendem paralelamente a um eixo geométrico do furo (2), tais rasgos (3, 4, 5) definindo zonas (6, 7) de material sólido no interior do cubo (1) as quais podem ser elasticamente deformadas sob tensão com vistas a estreitar o furo.
