Na fórmula, o anel C(O)X-substituído é saturado ou insaturado na posição ( ou (, e X representa um grupo metileno ou um átomo de oxigênio, R^ 1^, R^ 2^, R^ 3^, R^ 4^ consistem independentemente em um átomo de hidrogênio ou um radical metila, n ou n', são independentemente 1 ou 2, e R^ 4^ pode estar em qualquer posição no anel que não seja o anel C(O)X-substituído.
