A presente invenção refere-se a dispositivos para instalar um componente alongado (1) - como um cabo submarino - em um leito de mar a partir de uma embarcação de assentamento ou navio lança-cabos (2), incluindo equipamento pesado de guia/rastreamento (4) pendente do navio e dirigindo o componente (1). O dito equipamento (4) inclui dispositivo de garagem (10) para alojar um ROV local (11) ligado ao dito dispositivo de garagem com um cabo cativo (12), suficientemente longo para possibilitar que o ROV local de reboque monitore a área de contato do componente com o solo (6).
