Abstract

Patente de Invenção:<B>"SEQuêNCIA DE NUCLEOTìDEOS E DE PROTEìNAS DE MAMASTATINA E PROCESSOS DE USO". Uma seq³ência de ácidos nucléicos que codifica mamastatina, um inibidor de crescimento de células mamárias específico. A mamastatina é codificada por uma única seq³ência de ácidos nucléicos e tem um peso molecular aproximado de 44KDa em sua forma não fosforilada, inativa. Células mamárias normais expressam formas fosforiladas funcionais tendo pesos moleculares aproximados de 53KDa e 49KDa. Células mamárias metastáticas ou absolutamente não expressam a mamastatina, ou não expressam as formas fosforiladas de 53KDa e de 49KDa. Células de câncer mamárias são inibidas em seu crescimento pela administração de mamastatina fosforilada.
