Abstract
"SISTEMA E MéTODO DE CHAMADA EM CONFERêNCIA PAPA UM CANAL DE COMUNICAçõES SEM FIO". é descrito um sistema de chamada em conferência para um canal de comunicações sem fio. O sistema está adaptado para uso com um canal possuindo um primeiro, um segundo e um terceiro participantes em comunicação através de um primeiro (34), um segundo (20) e um terceiro (20) transmissores e receptores respectivamente. O sistema inclui um circuito para receber um sinal codificado (144) a partir de pelo menos um dos transmissores. Um segundo circuito determina (62) qual dos participantes está falando a partir do sinal codificado recebido. Um terceiro circuito é provido para a retransmissão (66) de um sinal codificado recebido a partir do participante que está falando para os outros participantes. Na implementação ilustrada, os sinais codificados são sinais "vocodificados" de taxa variável de fala, nos quais a fala é vocodificada na taxa total, o silêncio é codificado a 1/8 de taxa e as taxas a 1/2 e 1/4 são usadas como taxas de transição. Na implementação ilustrativa, o sinal de quem fala é identificado examinando-se a taxa dos sinais vocodificados de recepção. Quando o sinal vocodificado de quem fala é identificado, ele é retransmitido sem devocodificação para os participantes que não estão falando na chamada em conferência. Através da retransmissão do sinal de quem fala sem a devocodificação fica preservada a qualidade do sinal recebido.
