Abstract

"GENES QUE AUMENTAM A RESISTêNCIA A DOENçAS EM PLANTAS" A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e materiais para a proteção de plantas contra patógenos por meio de engenharia genética e, mais particularmente, a genes que aumentam a resistência a doenças em planta por meio da codificação de proteínas que interagem fisicamente com produtos de gene R envolvidos na ativação dos mecanismos de defesa das plantas. A invenção refere-se ainda a três seq³ências de nucleotídios que foram clonadas, isoladas e sequenciadas, três seq³ências de aminoácidos codificados pelas mesmas e uma planta transgênica e métodos para produzir a mesma, o genoma da planta tendo incorporada nela uma seq³ência de nucleotídios estranha selecionada de acordo com a invenção, que funciona para aumentar a capacidade da planta de resistir a patógenos.
