Descreve-se uma máscara cirúrgica (10) para cobrir o nariz e boca de uma pessoa. A máscara (10) é projetada para facilitar o fluxo de ar através do nariz. A máscara inclui uma tira adesiva (26), rígida, que, quando fixada sobre o nariz, abre as passgens nasais para permitir o fluxo de mais ar através da mesma.
