Um índice de desempenho de, por exemplo, 80 x 10^ 3^ kg tabaco/kW.h é alcançável. A bandeja é oscilada a uma freq³ência de cerca de 400 ciclos por minuto, ou mais, e em um ângulo projetado com relação à horizontal de pelo menos cerca de 25 graus, sob a ação dos motores.
