Abstract
''VáLVULA DE INTERDIçãO DE TRANSBORDAMENTO''. Trata-se de uma válvula de interdição de transbordamento, encaixada dentro de um tanque de fluido (3), a válvula compreendendo uma carcaça (1) dotada de uma primeira entrada de fluido (7) em uma extremidade de fundo dele e uma primeira saída de fluido (15) em uma extremidade de topo dela, um componente de bóia (21) localizado dentro da carcaça e que é deslocável ao longo de seu eixo geométrico longitudinal entre a primeira entrada e a primeira saída. O componente de bóia compreende em sua extremidade de fundo uma segunda entrada de fluido (27) e perto de sua extremidade de topo uma segunda saída de fluido (38). Meios de vedação (35) são combinados em uma extremidade de topo do componente de bóia para vedar a primeira saída de fluido e são apresentados meios de propensão (39) dentro da carcaça para inclinar o componente de bóia na direção da primeira saída de fluido. A disposição sendo tal que os meios de propensão, juntamente com as forças de flutuabilidade que atuam sobre o componente de bóia, tendem a impelir o componente de bóia até uma posição de vedação, na qual os meios de vedação entram em contato de vedação com a primeira saída de fluido, enquanto as forças da gravidade que atuam sobre o componente de bóia tendem a deslocar o componente de bóia para longe da primeira saída de fluido até uma posição não vedada. A válvula compreende também meios (27) para restringir a entrada de fluido no componente de bóia (21), em que a elevação do nível de fluido no tanque resulta na elevação do nível de fluido dentro da carcaça, em consequência do que o componente de bóia é impelido até a posição de vedação.'' It is an overflow stop valve, fitted inside a fluid tank (3), the valve comprising a housing (1) with a first fluid inlet (7) at a bottom end of it and a first outlet of fluid (15) at a top end thereof, a float component (21) located within the housing and which is displaceable along its longitudinal geometric axis between the first inlet and the first outlet. The float component comprises a second fluid inlet (27) at its bottom end and a second fluid outlet (38) near its top end. Sealing means (35) are combined at one top end of the float component to seal the first fluid outlet and propensity means (39) are provided within the housing to tilt the float component towards the first fluid outlet. The arrangement being such that the means of propensity, together with the buoyancy forces acting on the buoy component, tend to propel the buoy component up to a sealing position, in which the sealing means come in sealing contact with the first fluid outlet, while the forces of gravity acting on the float component tend to move the float component away from the first fluid outlet to an unsealed position. The valve also comprises means (27) for restricting fluid entry into the float component (21), in which the elevation of the fluid level in the tank results in an increase in the fluid level within the housing, as a result of which the buoy is propelled to the sealing position.
