Abstract
"UNIãO MOLECULAR DE COMPONENTES DE CHASSI DE VEìCULO UTILIZANDO TéCNICAS DE SOLDAGEM POR IMPULSO MAGNéTICO". Método e aparelho para conexão de componentes de chassi de veículo metálicos utilizando técnicas de soldagem por impulso magnéticos é descrito. Em uma primeira modalidade, uma junta sobreposta é formada pela conexão de duas seções de trilho lateral (12, 13) de canal aberto para formar uma parte de um trilho lateral de veículo. A primeira seção (12) formada ligeiramente menor do que a segunda seção (13) está disposta telescopicamente dentro dela com espaçamento. Uma bobina eletromagnética (50) gera um campo magnético que leva as seções (12, 13) moverem-se em direção uma a outra a uma velocidade alta. O impacto a alta velocidade e as pressões elevadas causam soldagem das duas seções (12, 13). Alternativamente, uma braçadeira pode ser unida a uma seção de trilho lateral de modo semelhante. Em uma segunda modalidade, um par de membros estruturais de canal fechado são formados utilizando técnicas de hidroformação. As partes extremas dos membros de hidroformação são então dispostos concentricamente com uma bobina letromagnética que leva as partes extremas a mover em direção uma a outra de modo a soldar.
