A invenção refere-se a compostos da fórmula Ar-X-E-Q em que Ar é 4-piridila ou 4-pirimidinila opcionalmente substituídas; X é NH, O, S, SO ou SO2; E é uma ligação ou alcanodiila; e Q é cicloalquila ou 4-piperidila opcionalmente substituídas. A invenção refere-se também a processos e intermediários usados para preparar tais compostos, agentes contendo os mesmos e seu uso como agentes para controle da peste e fungicidas.
