<B>APERFEIçOAMENTO DE RENDIMENTO DE PLANTAS<D> A invenção se refere ao uso exógeno da betaína para melhorar a produção de legumes em grão. De acordo com a invenção, a betaína é utilizada para melhorar a produção especialmente sob condições de estresse. A invenção também se relaciona aos legumes em grão tratados de modo exógeno com betaína e particularmente as sementes da tais plantas.
