Catalisadores de zeólitos úteis para a produção de fenol e dos seus derivados por hidroxilação oxidante de benzeno e dos seus derivados por óxido nitroso, por exemplo, em temperaturas de 225-4500<198>C, tendo características processuais substancialmente melhores, resultantes do tratamento hidrotérmico usando um gás contendo de cerca de 3 a 100 mol por cento de vapor d'água, por exemplo, em nitrogênio, a uma temperatura variando de cerca de 500 a 1.000<198>C. Duas horas de tratamento hidrotérmico mostraram-se efetivas.
