Abstract

The invention relates to a device including a container charged with a water treatment material and a perfume material, intended to be partially immersed in the water in a flushing tank of a toilet fitting whereupon to deliver water treatment material in solution to the water in the tank and perfume to the surrounding atmosphere. The device is essentially different from prior art devices in that water flows into and from the container via a duct arranged to retain a reservoir of treated water when the tank flushes and to deliver treated water to the tank only after the tank has started to flush, and the atmosphere in the container communicates with the surrounding atmosphere to release perfume via a vent duct which is closed by water in the container when the water level in the tank is above a predetermined level.
