Relatório Descritivo de Patente de Invenção Cateter Campo da Invenção [0001] O presente relatório contempla conhecimentos, informações e/ou dados confidenciais utilizáveis na indústria, comércio ou prestação de serviços, para os quais o detentor requer: a proteção estabelecida no inciso XXIX do Art. 5o da Constituição Federal; a manutenção do status jurídico de confidencialidade/segredo; a manutenção do status físico de confidencialidade/segredo pelo tempo previsto na Lei 9.279/96, Lei da Propriedade Industrial; e os direitos previstos no Art. 195 da Lei 9.279/96. A criação industrial ora descrita compreende uma invenção passível de proteção patentária. A presente invenção descreve um cateter de resfriamento encefálico por via nasofaríngea. A presente invenção situa-se nos campos da Medicina e da Engenharia.
Antecedentes da Invenção [0002] Lesões cerebrais são causas de graves sequelas motoras e/ou cognitivas para o indivíduo e muitas vezes levam o indivíduo à morte. As lesões cerebrais iniciais podem ser agravadas nas primeiras 120 horas, principalmente no intervalo das primeiras 48 horas.
[0003] Para que se impeça a progressão das lesões cerebrais, pode-se induzir o indivíduo à hípotermia, desse modo diminuindo o metabolismo das células (hibernação) e permitir que ocorra recuperação celular.
[0004] São várias as condições possíveis para que haja hípotermia: paradas cardiorrespiratórias, acidentes vasculares cerebrais (AVCs) e traumas crânioencefálicos (TCEs).
[0005] Na busca pelo estado da técnica em literaturas científica e patentária, foram encontrados os seguintes documentos que tratam sobre o tema: [0006] O documento Hipotermia terapêutica pós-reanimação cardiorrespiratória; evidências e aspectos práticos. Rev. bras. ter. intensiva vol.21 no.1 São Paulo Jan./Mar. 2009 revela algumas possibilidades de tratamento da hipotermia, mas não revela nem sequer sugere o cateter revelado pela presente invenção. É de se ressaltar que o cateter descrito pela presente invenção permite a hipotermia apenas das regiões cerebrais em que há necessidade de haver hipotermia.
[0007] Assim, do que se depreende da literatura pesquisada, não foram encontrados documentos antecipando ou sugerindo os ensinamentos da presente invenção, de forma que a solução aqui proposta possui novidade e atividade inventiva frente ao estado da técnica.
[0008] Dessa forma, a presente invenção apresenta uma solução para o problema da indução de hipotermia nos casos de lesões cerebrais, descrevendo-se na presente invenção um cateter que resolve o problema de indução de hipotermia nos casos de lesões cerebrais.
Sumário da Invenção [0009] Dessa forma, a presente invenção tem por objetivo resolver os problemas constantes no estado da técnica a partir de um cateter que resolve o problema da indução de hipotermia em pacientes com lesões cerebrais.
[0010] É um objeto da presente invenção um cateter conforme definido e revelado pelas figuras 1 a 9 do presente pedido de patente.
[0011] É um outro objeto da presente invenção um cateter substancialmente conforme as figuras 1 a 9 do presente pedido de patente.
[0012] Ainda, o conceito inventivo comum a todos os contextos de proteção reivindicados refere-se ao cateter que é descritivo pela presente invenção.

[0037] Descrição do Produto: [0038] O cateter de resfriamento nasofaríngeo é usado para diminuir a temperatura do tecido encefálico adjacente à nasofaringe. Os componentes do sistema facilitam o posicionamento do cateter. No interior do cateter haverá circulação contínua de líquido resfriado por um sistema externo conectado ao mesmo.
[0039] O cateter de resfriamento nasofaríngeo pode ser utilizado para pacientes com lesões cerebrais graves que tenham indicação de resfriamento cerebral como método de neuroproteção e não existem contra-indicações conhecidas ao uso do cateter de resfriamento nasofaríngeo.
