Abstract
"APARELHO PARA FORMAR UMA COSTURA UNINDO UMA EXTREMIDADE DE LATA A UM CORPO DE LATA, MéTODO DE UNIR UM CORPO DE LATA A UMA EXTREMIDADE DE LATA, E, LATA". Aparelho e método de costura para costurar extremidades a latas são descritos. O aparelho de costura inclui um mandril de costura recebido pela extremidade de lata. O mandril inclui uma porção de bigoma e uma parede de bigoma superior periférica. A parede de bigoma superior é inclinada a um ângulo a maior que ou igual a 6 graus. O aparelho de costura também inclui um rolo de costura tendo uma superfície de costura para engatar no friso periférico da extremidade de lata em uma operação de costura para comprimir o friso periférico contra o flange periférico e a parede de bigoma superior periférica do mandril de costura.
