Abstract

"MéTODOS E APARELHO PARA SELECIONAR PREFERENCIALMENTE UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO QUE TORNA UM SERVIçO DE DADOS DISPONìVEL". Métodos e aparelhos para a seleção de uma rede celular para a provisão de um ou mais serviços de comunicação para um dispositivo de comunicação móvel são mostrados. Uma operação de varredura (305) é realizada pelo dispositivo móvel para a identificação de uma pluralidade de redes celulares que suportam um serviço de comunicação por voz em uma área de cobertura geográfica. O dispositivo móvel então identifica qual das redes celulares torna um serviço de comunicação de dados disponível para ele (335, 405). Vantajosamente, o dispositivo móvel atribuir uma prioridade a ou seleciona uma rede celular que torna o serviço de comunicação de dados disponível em relação a uma rede que falha em tornar o serviço de comunicação de dados disponível, e pode se engajar naquela rede.
