"RóTULO INCORPORANDO CARACTERìSTICAS DE SEGURANçA". A invenção refere-se a rótulos e em particular a um rótulo que pode ser utilizado para aplicações de segurança, como um certificado de autenticação, meio de identificação ou similar, como prova da autenticidade ou origem de um artigo ao qual é aderido. O rótulo (10) compreende um substrato, que tem primeira (12) e segunda superfícies opostas (13) e compreendendo primeira (15) e segunda seções (16), um adesivo aplicado à segunda superfície da primeira seção para aderir o rótulo, em uso, a um artigo. Pelo menos uma característica de segurança é incorporada em ou sobre pelo menos uma das referidas primeira e segunda seções. A característica de segurança é oculta quando a segunda seção é aderida em uma posição de não visualização e é revelada quando a segunda seção é levantada para uma posição de visualização.
