Abstract
"APARELHO E MéTODO PARA A PRODUçãO DE TOPOGRAFIA E MATERIAIS TENDO TOPOGRAFIA". The present invention relates to an apparatus for discrete and aligned positioning of a chemical. The apparatus has (i) at least one solenoid valve including an orifice; (ii) at least one chemical source being in communication with at least one valve, and being capable of communicating at least one chemical to at least one solenoid valve; and (iii) a heating element; where the heating is positioned near at least one chemical, and where the heating element allows the apparatus to process phase shift materials. A second embodiment of the present invention is directed to an inkjet printing device for the aligned positioning of phase shift liquids. The present invention is also directed to a method for positioning one or more chemicals in a discrete and aligned manner. The present invention also relates to a material having fluid handling characteristics and generally includes a substrate having at least one first surface, and one or more chemicals being applied to the first surface of the substrate in discrete droplets, where a or more droplets form discrete domains on the substrate. Chemicals applied to the substrate can penetrate the substrate to varying degrees, where varying degrees of chemical penetration produce materials that have multiple topographies. Topography or topographies can create fluid barriers, skin separation or otherwise result in skin health benefits. A second embodiment of a material of the invention is directed to an absorbent article having one or more phase shift materials applied to it. A third embodiment of a material of the invention is directed to a composite that includes a substrate and one or more chemicals, where chemicals are applied to the substrate to produce a substrate that has discretely positioned bonding points and aligns
