Abstract
"COMPOSTOS ABSORVEDORES DE ULTRAVIOLETA DE FRACA INTENSIDADE DE COR E COMPOSIçõES DOS MESMOS". A presente invenção refere-se a compostos absorvedores de ultravioleta que são de natureza líquida, são de cor extremamente fraca (permitindo, dessa forma, a utilização sem a concomitante necessidade de adição de grandes quantidades de outros agentes corantes, para combater tal doscoloração) e são altamente eficazes em proporcionar proteção em faixas de comprimentos de onda para as quais tentativas anteriores com absorvedores de ultravioleta de fraca intensidade de cor falharam. Tais compostos proporcionam excelente, económica e benéfica proteção da exposição ao ultravioleta dentro de diversos meios, incluindo, mas sem qualquer limitação, claros transparentes. Os compostos, em particular, são geralmente de natureza polimérica, incluindo diversos comprimentos de cadeias de polioxialquilenos sobre os mesmos e são de natureza líquida, para facilitar a manipulação e a introdução dentro do meio alvo. The present invention relates to ultraviolet absorbing compounds which are liquid in nature, extremely light in color (thus allowing use without the concomitant need to add large amounts of other coloring agents to counteract such coloring) and They are highly effective in providing wavelength protection for which previous attempts with low-color ultraviolet absorbers have failed. Such compounds provide excellent, economical and beneficial protection from ultraviolet exposure within a variety of media, including, but not limited to, clear whites. The compounds, in particular, are generally polymeric in nature, including various lengths of polyoxyalkylene chains thereon, and are liquid in nature to facilitate manipulation and introduction into the target medium. In addition, such ultraviolet absorbers also exhibit extremely low migration properties, thus providing long term protection benefits to the target medium as well. The invention also concerns end products, specifically broadly defined types of compounds which provide such beneficial characteristics, methods of manufacturing such low color intensity compounds and methods of producing such ultraviolet protected light end products.
