Abstract
"TRANSMISSãO EM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO MULTICANAL UTILIZANDO CONTROLE DE POTêNCIA DE CANAL SELETIVO". Técnicas de processamento de dados para transmissão através de um conjunto de canais de transmissão selecionados dentre todos os canais de transmissão disponíveis. Em um aspecto, o processamento de dados inclui a codificação dos dados com base em um esquema de codificação e modulação comum para fornecer símbolos de modulação e a pré pesagem dos símbolos de modulação para cada canal selecionado com base nas características do canal. A pré pesagem pode ser alcançada pela "inversão" dos canais selecionados de forma que as SNR recebidas sejam aproximadamente similares para todos os canais selecionados. Com a inversão seletiva de canal, apenas os canais possuindo SNR em ou acima de um limite particular são selecionados. Os canais "ruins" não são utilizados, e a potência de transmissão total disponível é distribuída através apenas dos "bons" canais. O desempenho aperfeiçoado é alcançado devido aos benefícios combinados da utilização apenas dos N melhores canais e coincidindo a SNR recebida de cada canal selecionado com a SNR necessária pelo esquema de codificação e modulação selecionado.
