Abstract
"MéTODO E APARELHO PARA EXIBIçãO DE ALTITUDE PREVISìVEL". A presente invenção refere-se às modalidades da invenção que fornecem um método e aparelho para indicar a altura da aeronave com relação a uma obstrução em um sistema de alerta de proximidade de terreno. O método inclui a recepção de dados indicadores de características geográficas de uma obstrução, distância lateral da característica geográfica de uma aeronave, altura e velocidade da aeronave, cálculo de uma altura projetada da aeronave no local da obstrução utilizando dados, gerando um sinal resultante, e exibindo uma indicação colorida em uma tela de exibição com base no sinal resultante. The present invention relates to embodiments of the invention which provide a method and apparatus for indicating the height of the aircraft in relation to an obstruction in a terrain proximity alert system. The method includes receiving data indicating geographic features of an obstruction, lateral distance from an aircraft's geographical feature, aircraft height and speed, calculating a projected height of the aircraft at the obstruction site using data, generating a resulting signal, and displaying a colored indication on a display screen based on the resulting signal. The device includes signal records of instruments that measure the height, speed, and location of an aircraft, as well as a record for an instrument that provides information about the geographical characteristics of the terrain surrounding the aircraft. The apparatus includes a means of employing signals to calculate an aircraft's effective height from the ground, and a screen monitor for graphically displaying the calculation results.
