Abstract
"2,5-DKG PERMEASES". A invenção refere-se a moléculas de ácido nucléico isoladas codificando polipeptídeos tendo atividade 2,5-DKG permease, e oligonucleotídeos a partir das mesmas. As moléculas de ácido nucléico isoladas podem ser expressas em células bacterianas apropriadas para melhorar a produção de 2-KLG, que podem ser subseqüentemente convertidas em ácido ascórbico. São ainda providos polipeptídeos isolados tendo atividade 2,5-DKG permease, peptídeos imunogênicos a partir dos mesmos e anticorpos específicos para os mesmos. A invenção também provê métodos de identificação de novas 2,5-DKG permeases.
