Abstract
ENSAIO DE FUNçãO DE PLAQUETAS E REAGENTE PARA O MESMO. A platelet function assay reagent is provided to perform a platelet function assay wherein the reagent contains a mixture of magnetic and nonmagnetic particles, wherein the magnetic particles have adhered to an outer surface an amount of a first binder. which has an affinity for direct interaction with GP-ib receptors on blood platelets and one that non-magnetic particles have adhered to their outer surface an amount of a second binder that has an affinity for direct interaction with blood receptors. GP-ib in blood platelets such that the interaction of either the first or second ligands with the GP-ib platelet receptor will activate the blood platelets in the direction of aggregation where the first ligand and the second ligand they may be the same or different, and the assay using such a reagent to provide a reliable, rapid watchpoint assessment.
