Abstract
"COMPOSTOS SEMELHANTES A AMINO CERAMIDA E MéTODOS TERAPêUTICOS DE USO". São fornecidos novos compostos semelhantes a amino ceramida ( 1 ) que inibem a formação de glicosil ceramida ( GlcCer ) pela inibição da enzima GlcCer sintase, desta forma diminuindo o nível de glicoesfingolipídeos. Os compostos da presente invenção possuem atividade de inibição de GlcCer sintase aumentada e são, desta forma, altamente úteis em métodos terapêuticos para tratamento de várias condições e doenças associadas com níveis alterados de glicoesfingolipídeos."AMINO CERAMID-LIKE COMPOUNDS AND THERAPEUTIC METHODS OF USE". New compounds similar to amino ceramide (1) are provided that inhibit the formation of glycosyl ceramide (GlcCer) by inhibiting the enzyme GlcCer synthase, thereby decreasing the level of glycosphingolipids. The compounds of the present invention have increased GlcCer synthase inhibiting activity and are therefore highly useful in therapeutic methods for treating various conditions and diseases associated with altered levels of glycosphingolipids.
